sct and kam code

so when i put the truck back to stock it has that code, and the dealer can tell something is wrong un less i drive the truck for so many miles to clear the code correct? can i just plug my code scanner in and clear the code that way? or do i have to drive it still?

only a set driving sequence will clear the kam code ...Our resident frog posted a description of the hoops you have to do to clear it...but it is the same code that will be set when you disconect your battaries for any reason...

Adam I'm prety sure you have to complete what is called a drive cycle to clear all codes. I searched and could not find the thread that was posted on how to do it. PSD posted it some time back. Maybe somone else can find it and post a link to it for you.

thanks!! i downloaded the drive cycle that the frog posted, if i ever have to have warranty work i will just complete the drive cycle.

Can we not just disconnect the battery to do this? According to the Hard reset procedure thread, the only code that remains when the battery is disconnected, is the code that says the battery has been disconected recently
