Another dumb question what is a SCT tune?

One must first understand the SCT XCAL 2 tuner. This unit allows the user to alter the stock PCM programming THUS providing more POWER!! The XCAL allows the user to have 3 different levels of power. This power is provided by those MAD diesel scientists that toil for hours to develop dark magic that emits from your tailpipe. These powerful potions are refered to as "tunes".

Basically the tune is actual programming that is loaded into the SCT XCAL2 units for use when programming your trucks PCM for more power.

Pretty much. It's a file that holds the new programming info and loaded into the tuner for programming of the PCM. These tunes can be 100% custom and emailed to you for loading into the tuner through your computer.
