SCT or Bully Dog

Hi iam new to this site and the diesel world so i hope you guys will help me out. I bought a 2004 6.0 powerstroke about six months ago and so far i installed a Bully Dog tuner, 5 inch Pro Flo exhaust (sounds great), and a Brute Force intake. I was wondering what the SCT tuner is how it is programed and if it is a hole lot better than the Bully Dog. I was also wondering what you think i should do next performance wise. :thanks:

well the sct is tuned by a tuner... ok that came out wierd but people like DJ, jody tipton, and a few others load their own tunes in so they are generally much better than the bullydog you dong mention guages in there as a mod? do u have any? if not that is ur next one!!!

Bully Dog is a good product but make sure you do get gauge to watch all your temps.

I ran Bullydog Power Pup for over a year before changing over to SCT. It is A LOT of difference and I prefer the SCT over my power pup now. I only use the power pup to read DTC and such...

If you require a special "hot" tune for drag racing or other off road use then a custom program is probably what you need. As for "out of the box" tunes Bully Dog is as good as it gets. Guages definately with any extreme tune or if you tow over 8K lbs.
