SCT Users With Job 2 6.0's

Well guys I found out from Doug A.k.A psdplayer that the job 2 trucks that have the YJZO processor code will not run correctly with the SCT because injection timing and boost are off for certain in the map. Doug has contacted SCT and they are working on the problem. I thought this was a neat bit of info and good to know since we had been having problems with my truck getting it to take a tune and run correctly. There are a few more pcm codes that the map is messed up on and I will get them from him and post them up.

I am having issues too, mine is a EZM0 code. It's good to hear that they are looking into it, I have about given up on getting any real power out off this truck with the SCT. Mine will boost up to 33psi easily on a Street tune but the power is just not there...

I am thinking about getting the Sniper Special Forces tuning software and giving that a whirl, they claim to support my code and it seems pretty user friendly...

We have used the Sniper on some of these newer trucks. Works well.

Well my truck is leaving this upcoming tuesday headed to Longwood, FL to SCT! They are going to tune my truck to figure out what problems are in the map. I should have it back friday so I will let you know what goes down.

While you're there, why don't you stop by Sniper and see what they have. They are only 20 minutes from them.

Well I'm not going down there. A good friend of mine works for them and is taking the truck down there to them then bringing it back. It's not costing me anything and I'm having my truck be tuned by the originators.......Can't beat that!

That's a new one! Programmer doesn't work so the whole truck has to go back to the factory...... Why don't they just go get one from a dealer and use a reader or send you a reader file?

they probably want to tune the truck on site and then see how it runs/performs so they can get an immediate answer on the tuning and they'd probably rather use a "customer" than get one from a dealer, not even sure a dealer would let them "borrow" one to tune on.....

Sounds like a win-win to me-

SCT gets their hands on an actual truck with issues to run on their dyno and verify results.

Onebadsixoh gets a free dyno tune of his truck and I am assuming free tunes.

Everyone with Xcal2's and Job2 6oh's will have great running tunes from the start.

I just hope they figure it out...
