2003 6.0 Tuner Suggestions?

I have a buddy that has a 03 6.0.

He just picked it up a few months ago.

He wants a little more power but does not want to stare at a pyro when towing.

I have heard that the evolution tuner is pretty good for power but will not pull back fuel or monitor tranny slip.

So I am thinking of something along the lines of the Edge Platinum?..

He does not have gauges YET, but likes the idea of the intergraded units.

So.. What should he put in there??

Here is a thread I started in my home turf. Everyone says turn and run the other way!!!

I'd have him pick up an SCT unit and run a good Tow program. Very safe for towing and great shifts w/ no slipping.

No, but if you would rather have a monitor than analog gauges, the BullyDog Outlook does a good job. We keep both gauges and monitors in stock.

With an Xcal2 you can program all parameters of the vehicle which in fact is better on the tranny being that the Edge defuels to shift.

The SCT does not come with a digital gauge unit but we offer the Bullydog Outlook Monitor.

Thanks,
Vivian

I have the Edge Platinum and I can choose how much I want to defuel between shifts from 0% to 100% at a stop light. If I choose 0% do you think it still defuels?

Yes, because they don't have shift logic.

Thanks,
