Stack SCT with edge?

Just wondering if I get an SCT Xcal2 can I leave the edge platinum on the 0 or the stock setting and run tunes like anyone else? I like the turbo timer and gauge display.

Yep- just resist the temptation to turn it up, that's when things will go bad!!!

Yeah,I started out with the Edge Platinum, but had problems with the dreaded 3-4 flare shifting and ordered a Sct and just use the edge for my display.
I also had Eric(Innovative Diesel)do me a trans only file so I could use my Edge to help with the shifting. It helped, but still isn't as crisp at shifting as the Sct alone.

I was thinking of unlocking the HOT level for the edge but I might just get the SCT and some good tunes. Are the shifts real hard with SCT? Most of the time I have my family in the truck and I'm not sure if I want it to "buck" the truck on every shift.
