Question Tune suggestions

Ok........I did it! I sold my Edge and am ordering a SCT on Monday. I decided to stay local and will choose between DJ or Doug. I drive my truck with my Edge on level 5. (There's not enough smoke) I get on it here and there but not at every light. Will the Looney tune or Doug's equivilent cause my truck to puke. I am not sure what to do about the EGR on or off thing either.

PS....I need gauges ASAP. Who's got some good prices? I'm torn between the windshield pod or the pillar. Any opinions would help as well.

Thanks guys...
Joe

Welcome to the bright side buddy ro!!!! Go with Doug....His customer service is by far the best out there. Not knocking DJ but Doug's 24/7 service is awesome.......I like his tunes and he's become a very good friend of mine to boot! But anyways....Which ever tuner you decide to go with you won't be unhappy!

Im for Doug also although I havent run DJ's tunes. I run my truck on Gonzo (Race File) and I havent had the first problem. Doug will take care of you and follow up with you to make sure all is well. Plus you can call him at anytime... he doesnt sleep. Seriously - I have talked to him at 2-3am many times.

Doug did tell me that the only trucks that he has seen puke did have Edge programmers in them before an SCT was installed. My truck had an Edge before I purchased it, but I still havent been able to get it to puke.

EDIT

I did have Doug add the power of the street file to my towing file because I dont tow anything heavy (16" drop hitch). I ran all three tunes while we were playing with the truck over there and then I loaded the race file and have never changed it since.

I'm not trying to be a salesman, but you couldnt ask for a better person to deal with rather than Doug.

Doug can get you the gauges also... I need to get some for my truck but I will go with the overhead mount because I want to keep my handle also.

Dougs' tunes are great, but I have also tried DJ's...his are also great.

I ran Doug's gonzo, for a few month's as my daily driver tune, and I loved it. It makes you want to use the Go Fast Pedal all the time.

I heard so much good stuff about DJ's that I had to try a few. I haven't been dissapointed. I run an economy tune from DJ as my daily driver right now, it has good road manners, great shifting, and it is getting about 2 MPG better than anything else I have tried.

What I am trying to say, is either way you go, you will be happy...
