Exclamation 6.0 Tec 6 Nightmare

Hi. is anyone running the tec 6 with the new 06e17 with the SCT Xcalibrator2? My truck is very erratic and seems to be doing what it wants to at times, especially in regards to fueling and shift points. Another Question I have is can I get someone to freaking put my truck back to another flash, utilize the EBP AND GET SOME PIECE OF MIND?! Doug, DJ, Or Eric,- Any advice?

It's no problem. I have TEC6 flashed onto one of our business trucks and it runs strong...actually very strong. Is it running bad stock? Could be another issue.

I have dyno'd trucks with the TEC6 flash and they are making just as much power as before. Sounds like you just need some tweaking on the files.

The flash could have been done wrong, I had a truck with a tec6 and it gave me nothing but problems, put in a differnt flash and it went away. I think when the techs install the flash sometimes they screw it up somehow, might just reflash it again.

I agree bean, my '03 had been reflashed once and the tech screwed up, never ran right for about 2 weeks, went to tech that knew what he was doing....no more problems at all:Thumbup:

I will second that on the flash being screwed up. I for one am one of the people who had one screwed up and never knew it till the trans smoked. Yes the tech can screw it up if they don't know what they are doing or don't reflash it correctly. I had two processors codes and strategies at one time. Don't know how don't really want to. Reflashed it to the TEC6 and the truck runs ALOT different. I am running some files from all the vendors. Innovatives, DJ's, and Doug's are VERY strong. Shift a little harsh when the TQ locks up but I have the Suncoast in there.

All trucks that have 06E17 will need to have the VGT Learn procedure performed. Some technicians forget this last little detail.
