Lots of questions.

Hey guys this is my first post and first diesel. I've been a member of chevy truck forums for about 4 years, but I broke down and bought a ford haha. I got a good deal and the dealer actually wanted to sell me the truck unlike the chevy dealers.

Anyways. I've got an 05 F350 Crew cab short box, 4in lift, 35's and 4in exhaust to the muffler (no Cat) and then 5in. from the muffler back.

I'm planning an Intake , but not sure what i should go with.

I've been reading quite a bit on here, but I just don't have the time to sit here for hours reading everything at least not now. As far as tunes go I was planning on going with edge until i started reading about the sct tunes. Now How the hell does this work. I know the edge is basically plug and play and shift on the fly along with gauges and what not. Well say i go with the SCT I take it i have to get gauges and mount them somewhere?

As far as the tunes go i also have no clue how to load and or unload tunes and what not. I'd really like basically 3 tunes. one for Mileage since i'm only getting 13.2 now, a towing tune, and of course a raceing tune. I'm sure a streetable tune made for mileage and racing would be something i'd like to.

My dealer told me and i got in writing that if i put a chip on it before i bring it in for warrenty work i need to pull the tune then reflash my computer. is this possible with the SCT?

So basically give me all i need to know as far as these tunes go. I really appreciate any help!

Well start off with an intake. Get anyone but KandN. Go with a dealer on this site. The dealer you go with can most likely also hook you up with an SCT with custom tunes to your need. They can also get you your guages. I like mine on the pillar but they have guage pods for mostly anywhere. As far as the warranty goes. They just want you to take off the chip or program and return the computer back to stock.
