how accurate are the tuners with 1/4 mile option?

hey everyone I am just wandering just how accurate the 1/4 mile times are on some of the tuners out there such as the hypercrap hyperpac, and the like? The pops is looking at getting one of those mainly for that feature is it accurate enough to brag about?? Thanx

I had the Edge Juice Platinum and I tested that feature at the strip one night. It consistently read .5 to .6 slower than the track timers. Since it starts the timer as soon as you let off the brake and the track starts the timer when you roll out of the beam, that's where the difference would come in. It takes just a bit for an 8000 lb truck to start rolling after you let off the brake versus it's rolling when it passes the beam.
