sct towing problem

Today i had the insanity file in my truck which is a 03 6.0 i was pulling my little 16' enclosed trailer which weights about 7k i was just crusing down the highway at 55 and was decerating a little bit and began to climb a hill if u could even call it that the engine wouldnt gain any speed it slowed me down to about 40 and the truck was building boost but wasn't going into the engine it sounded like it was blowing out the air box thank god i was at my exit then went to home depot and put it back to stock and it wont do it again and i still have not tried to load it back in the truck it was like a blow off but persistant with a 2 sec pause then the air then a pause and when u gave it the gas it shook the truck and blew more air out the harder u put ur foot into it the more it shook and the slower i went. Please help i really got the feeling that these programer are **** just like the diablo i had befor never fails i think the 6.0 is just not programer friendly. 1 other thing i have only has the sct 4 2 weeks. Thank 4 all the feedback in advance

have you talked to robert or tadd about it or let them know? i believe robert and some other people have told me they haul heavy trailers with the race files no problems. might want to let them know and im sure they'll fix you up!

I would think with the converter lock on a race file, loaded down like that on a hill would really bog the tuck down.

I think. I've never tried it so I could be wrong.

isnt the converter being locked supposed to help put more power to the ground though?

I pretty sure Tadd does not recommend running the Insanity file as a tow file...It is a race file. That is why people write Tow files. Do you have gauges? What were your EGT's/Trans Temp?

I love my tow power from Elite. I don't tow with the reace file in, with the stock turbo I have problems with egts just racing. I can tow 15k without any problems you described. Wan't to swap trucks for a test drive? I've always wanted to feel another sct truck.

does it still build boost now? did you pop a intake boot?

JM, Was that question directed at me?

DJ...Is DJ of DJ-Performance.com. He is the creator of the Looney tune, you hear people talking about.
