SCT download instructions

So the instructions I have say to disconnect the fuel pump and electric fan fuses BEFORE I load my program, that correct???? I've never seen anybody talk about this step before.

I don't recall ever doing that to my truck and it's running fine. Been running on an SCT for a long time now.

I believe that those instructions are for gas applications. You just start by plugging the SCT into the truck with the key OFF and follow the prompts on the SCT. Chris

I asked that same question to doug when he wrote my files. he told me " dont worry about it , its not a mustang "

'04 6.0, 4.5" lift, straight piped, SCT tunes by Innovative Diesel, studded, coolant filter, EGR delete Tru track in the rear, sounds by JL audio some other odds and ends

I don't worry about it. I think it has something to do with running your battery down...I have never had that problem though.

Yah, don't worry about pulling any fuses. I asked the same thing to eric at innovative. He said it doesn't need to be done. Unless you have weak batteries then maybe. You should be fine!:Thumbup:
