Peak TQ?

Does the peak torque change when you put different tunes in a truck or does the torque always stay at the same RPM. I ask this because I am wondering this for fuel mileage. The peak torque of the factory 6.0l is around 1900 right? So does this change when you tune it and put on exhaust and intake filters, etc?

I think that yes it does change your peak torque (as far as rpm) but not radical. Alot goes into making torque far as camshaft, pistons and stroke besides just injection timing and dwell time. I think with a tuner you will get gains all across and it may be more flat line but i think the key is a good transmission tune to go with it. Hope that helps
