what tuner or chip

i have a 6.0 power stroke and i want to know what you guys recommend i have been looking at sct. the problem i have right now is what is better i have been looking at sct livewire or x3 or x2? I pull but not a lot. so if you guys can help me out with this. when i had a durmax it was a lot easier to just go with efi.

sct is the efi for the 6.0 If you want digital gauges get the livewire with egt probe kit. if you want to get analog or no gauges get the x3 or 2. All three do the exact same thing as far as tuning the truck its just the livewire has gauges and the x3 is the new 2 (just back lit screen

Just another 6leaker Thanks to RCD

all depends, i would say a HIGH hp level with stock sticks will get you ~140-150hp, there are a few sct tunes on the board. Its also a programmer not a chip so there is no shift on the fly. Your tranny will thank you for this programmer vs the others..

Stick with the SCT and you will be happy. Get some conservative custom tunes for now because I figure you are still on stock head bolts. Also to the Garage.

Another recommnedation here for the sct. Ive had the bansk six gun and the edge juice and attitude. Nothin compares to a custom tuned sct. The tunes are top notch and the transmission tuning is unbelievable. Even the canned tunes that come on the sct x3 are much better than anything else out there for a 6.0

If you already have gauges then the cheapest and easiest thing to do would just be to go with the x3. The x3 is basically the same thing as the livewire. The livewire just has digital gauges. So if you already have analog your good to go. As far as the egr goes it should be blocked off. But it depends on your warranty situation. Some people dont want to void the warranty so they leave it on. And some states have emissions testing. But its really up to you it depends on your situation as far warranty and location go

Ya custom tune are the way to go i believe. you can get a good tow tune with EGR and then have a race tune with it shut off that way you can bounce between as your needs change. And like Bill sad your trans will thank you. As a tip when you change tunes drive easy on it for 20 to 30 miles because the trans does go through a relearn process. Have fun!!!
