still sounds like a module. the modules are typically shift on the fly and or require you to have them in some way conected to the truck. with the sct i can leave the tuner at the house and still be making power

The Edge Evolution is NOT a module... It is a programmer just like the SCT is a programmer... To change tunes on it requires you to pull over and shut down..

In fact, Power Hungry Performance sells the exact same unit as the Evolution under the name Gryphon, which they have to use since they put custom tunes on it....

They can even "convert" an Evolution to a Gryphon (which from what I can tell, is nothing more than painting it black).... The rumor is, they have to do this because the custom tunes are not CARB approved and the Evolution's programs are, so an agreement was worked out between PHP and Edge to allow the custom tunes.....

If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen. - quote by Samuel Adams

Political correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end
