No Smoke?

I have tried and still currently running the Spartan Hybrid Race tune with the only problem being the shifting. More specifically when going WOT then backing out of it (because of traffic or whatever) then back in it, the tranny goes crazy and doesn't know which way to go. My ??? is...I hear about others who are running this tune "rolling the coal" at WOT. Mine does not smoke hardly any. Not that I want it to but just wondering if the engine is doing that good of a job burning all that fuel or if something is not right.

I have the exact same issue with the Hybrid Race tune myself and mine was a custom tune and not the free one. Is your strategy VXCF4 by chance?

I'm running custom tunes also and have hardly any smoke. When I was running the canned tunes it smoked alot more. I'm guessing it's running more efficiently.

Not related to the smoking issue...but thought I'd share some info...

I have strategy VXCF4=ZHB2

For those with this strategy I would HIGHLY recomend you try a tune from your vendor with the ZHB5 strategy which is in the same strategy family as VXCF4.

The ZHB5 has inductive heat flashing and runs MUCH smoother than ZHB2 (VXCF4). It also dramatically improved the turbo farting noise I had previously. Tunes on ZHB5 run noticable stronger in my truck.

Garage
i have the same strategy as the OP and my hybrid race (custom) has the same shifting issue as stated. my newer innovative tunes were sent with a strategy that started with a Z (can't remember the whole thing) and the tune shifts way better. thanks for the info ebusa!
