FICM and X-race tunning

I am currently running Cale's 140 tune but want to get my FICM tuned. I have been told by a couple of people that Cale's tunning and Innovatives FICM tunning won't work well together and that for the best results, I should run ID's tunning all around.

What can I expect if I run ID's FICM tunning and get their X-race tune as well? Just trying to get those who have this done to their trucks opinions.

Thank you,

French

If its a daily driver you might be better off with X-Street. Almost the same HP, but the TC locks up less. X-Street with FICM tuning will probably blow Cale's 140hp out of the water.

This isn't my daily driver anymore, although I still drive it quite a bit on weekends. I may end up getting both tunes.

I'm interested,....because I have yet to see ANY changes in track times or dyno numbers in just a FICM tune...

The people I've heard from say "butt dyno" maybe a little difference,...but none of them have seen a track or Dyno increases.

And the hole crack about blowing cales tune out of the water is probably a line of BS because cale has a dyno and if it adds a true 140 then a 20 horse (mabey) bumb is not that much more. and yea the ficm tuning....i have yet to see a increase from anyone.

Just another 6leaker Thanks to RCD

I've got ID's FICM tuning and run the x-race as a daily driver. Truck runs great. I would definitly get the FICM tuning...it made a huge difference in throttle response alone. There's a guy in my area who has ID's FICM tuning running a superchips programmer and he felt/noticed a seat of the pants difference in power from this. I almost thought redneck6.0L had before and after hp#'s or track times when he got his race tuned FICM from ID, but i could be wrong. I believe the mild version is said to be 30hp and the race version(200cc injectors or higher) was at least 70hp more. The best thing i like about it is the throttle response...that alone was well worth doing it.

Well, your best bet if you get ID's tuned FICM have it dynoed there....Eric is in Elkton, Maryland and has a dyno at his shop.

Danny (Imelmo) had his FICM flashed,..took it to the track...no change..

I have considered it,...but it's not worth the money if it's not really doing anything.
