I have the Dr Performance triple play module...works great for me and a friend that has a 05 Excursion
No overfueling, great power and mileage gains.no changing the computer...I wanted to play it safe also.check them out.
Do asearch for them on google and some other websites sell them cheaper..I got mine from Jegs.com for $305 couple of years ago.You can call Dr performance direct and ask for a tech to ask any questions you have...good service.

SCT. There is no tuner that can come close to the perfection of fine tuning to your needs and perfect shifts.. Anytime you get into a MODULES/Chips your just very cheaply fooling the computer and not getting accurate tuning as the pcm is just getting false data. Not to mention no trans tuning..So say short life to that. These motors are ~12K new and i for one would not run anything but a sct. So if you want to play SAFE doing it right is the only way.

I get good MPGs with Inovatives Extream street or Agresive street tunes. But if you get on it, your MPGs will go right out the window but man it feels great.

I have to say that I got my best mileage with my Banks PowerPDA set on SL. I would average 18mpg. Now that I run the SCT tunes the best I can get is about 15MPG. I have been told thought that Banks get the mileage from high cylinder pressures which the 6.0l doesn't like. If I was a conservative driver and never put my foot in it, then I would go with Banks for mileage (my dad is perfect for that type of tuner). But if your are like me and can't keep the skinny pedal off the floor then you have to go with the SCT, there is no better for tuning and performance, just not the best fuel mileage. When I check my mileage it was always on the lie-o-meter and I would set my cruise at 59 mph and run the same stretch of freeway so I know my numbers are at least consistent.

The best mileage device is your right foot tuner... You can get really good and bad mileage from any tune, its all on how YOU drive the truck...

I got slightly better mileage with my Edge Platinum set on level 5, and being easy on the throttle -- but I'm running an SCT the 90hp Spartan tune now, and my truck loves it. Very good mileage, and plenty of power.
