what are the differences between the xcal3 and live wire besides the obvious of what it displays

'03 F250 XL 6.0LK&N intake, mbrp 5" stacks, SCT X3 with tunes from innovative, 6" superlift, 315-75r-16,boost, pyro, fuel pressure, oil pressure gauges all in the a-pillar,h-11 studs, short throw shifter,fass 95/150 with complete custom fuel lines, south bend clutch, traction bars

ARP studs, sct, Leveling kit,Airdog set at 62psi with no factory pump, leveling kit,5" stacks, under cab lights, Large in the way Fan shroud Removed, bed Lights being Re-did. Large Alternator(250amps)(130 amps was so 2003). On 3rd set of Hgs(soon to be 4th), 2nd set of heads, 2nd tubro, egr cooler, FICM and more. When i Turn the Key it does return a Favor, not always in MY Favor.

so the xcal3 comes with canned tunes....but you can buy custom tunes for it though right?

no, livewire had and or still has canned tunes.. the x3 is just a programmer.. the sf3(like the x3) has canned tunes as well..

ok so trying to cut down on my confusion which way would be the best way to have like rcd or innovative write me a program that is safer than the hypertech that i run now?

Custom Tunes are always suggested as the Tuner can write them to do what you want, within reason. I would suggest custom Tunes to anyone. Chris

The x3 would be most economical with the edge insite for gauges or analog gauges. Analog gauges might be a better option as they would be less prone to theft because the digital gauges look alt like navi units that might be valuable and easily sold. Check out a few places like rcd, innovative, stealth and dfuser for specials on tuners as at times they run good package deals.

yea i have gauges already i am just trying to find a safer tuner so i dont blow anything up but i am of course looking for more power at the same time so its kinda oxymoronish
