Went to the dealer

So I recently stuffed 35" tires on my stock truck and since I'm going to be logging a few thousand miles next month I decided I would have ford calibrate the spedo so it would be accurate. I called around and one dealer that had done warranty work in the past for me said they could do it for $80 bucks and if they couldn't do it there would be no charge. They were unable to get to it today so I called the other dealer here that recently fixed my truck out of warranty. They were able to get to it right then and I took it in. I told the service writter the tire size rear diff gears etc to make 100% they were on the same page to be able to set it accurate. He assured me they could get it right. I waited a hour and a half and got the truck back only to have the service tech tell me that the best he could do was get it within 5mph off. This dealer wanted $94.04 for calibrating the speedo that was 6mph off to 4mph. I called and talked to the shop manager and after griping for 20mins he finally decided to just refund my money. Is it impossible for ford to calibrate the speedo for 35" tires? I knew I couldn't do 37 or larger but was under the impression that 35"s were not a problem. On a side note I did return the truck to stock from my sct and I am out of warranty but I left my tuner in the seat when I got the truck back it drove 100% better almost as if the tech had installed one of the tunes off my programmer. I haven't looked at the strategy yet but do you think he reinstalled the tunes on the truck after the flash he did? Or is it possible he reflashed it and I got a better flash? The truck actually would put out some smoke after I got it back and had more get up as well.

It is a possibility, have the dealer check to see if they flashed, or take it to a tuner.

They can only calibrate the speedometer up to the largest tire that they offer stock which is somewhere around a 33.

Thanks tank that is what I was leaning twards. As far as the tuner goes the xcal2 I have will not tell you what tune is on the truck. It will only allow you to return to stock or install one of the three tunes on the tuner

The Xcal2 will read your stock strategy though and that is what folks are telling you to check...

Sytayegy is the same I'm guessing the tech loaded up the ase program on the tuner because I loaded up hybrid and it was about the same as was the stock tune. Just find it weird that the ford tech would load one of my tunes to go test drive my truck..... Kinda pisses me off that he would have done that
