SCT?

Ok fellas. Been talkin to a few of the guys out here on the boat and rode in my boss man's truck with the SCT, and can I just say daymmmmmmmm. So whats the deal. I have the edge right now. I can run the monitor with the SCT just have to leave the monitor turned down. Can I still use it for code reading and stuff or is that no good after I get the SCT. Also which one to you guys would recommend. I do plan on doin head studs in the future just because but hey if it happens sooner I guess it will be sooner than later. Thanks for your input.

I had issues with the tranny not shifting corectly with the edge juice with attitude. Yes it will work together just leave the edge on 0 or stock. I would try to sell the edge stuff and get analog gauges though.

How is your SCTx3? I just really don't know anything about them. Hotraods I can do all day. Diesels are still pretty new to me. Sorry to sound like such a noob.

Couldn't be happier the truck just plain hauls on performance tunes and tows a lot better in tow tunes. The best comparison I can give you would be that my cc sb 4x4 will make you dizzy on a 4x4 launch. It is like driving a ls1 z28 or trans am acceleration wise

Completely understand the launchin thing. I have a 2003 Cobra at the house. Do all my own work. What tunes ya got and from who? Where did ya get your SCT from? If ya don't mind how much did a pay for yours?

I'm on the cheap so far. The tuner off ebay for $110 it was locked though. Got tunes from the spartan tunes archive for free. So far I have almost nothing in the tuner and I am pleased with it. I would say that even the price of a new one with custom tunes is worth it. The truck is totally different. I run the hybrid race daily and have very little throttle lag. I am about to try some tunes and I will post up who I went with and my opinion of the tunes compared to stock and the spartan tune I run currently

I raced a 05+ gt mustang the other day....... He was pissed off I had him off the line and was a head at 100mph when I let out... If I raced him now with the 35" tires I bet he would win though. It is still quick but I can tell a big difference going from stock to 35" tires
