Truck getting new strategy.

So I should be gettig my truck back on Friday after the HG replace,ent, stud install and the newest strategy. What do I need to do to my SF3 concerning unlock, new strategy, etc?

when mine was reflashed all I did was get the new stradegy from the truck using the sct,and contacted ID and DJ with the new stradegy.They sent me the new tunes for the new stadegy.

You should turn back to stock and unlock the box before downloading a new tune. There's a write up about it in the stickies i think. I just looked, you have a X3 so you are good to go. The X3's and livewires unlock themselves. You will only have to unlock after a reflash if you have an X2.

So my tunes will not work with the new strategy?

they will work. I was using my old tunes from the old strategy with the new strategy when i had my truck reflashed a couple years back. But eric at ID told me that it's best to get new tunes after a reflash to get the best out of your truck.

I used my old tunes with my new stategy and I find they work better for me. Shifts are a little firmer but did lose a little power but I can still blow the doors off a Civic with a bean can exhaust anyday...

Also noticed my fuel mileage went up a whole "1" mpg....
