What's the purpose for a smoke tune? there really is none to be honest, all your doing is burning unnecessary fuel. and showing off to that affect.

I have adjusted mine up to 5%. Ran it for about a month, it does make it shift more firmer.then took it out, with my tranny mods it made it too crisp.
Imo, the smoke tune would just be a waste of fuel and also make the turbo viens stick if use to much.

If you get those tunes from Innovative, there shouldnt be any shift points, Eric programs all that into the tune itself, the only thing left to adjust is wheel size, gear size, and shift pressure. If your tire size is off then the shifting will shift to early or late.
