between the air box and grill, you cut out the plastic to make a hole to allow the air cleaner to get cooler air. you will find several write ups on this in the ford modification thread.

just so you know this forum area is for tunes, such as SCT,edge, bulley dog, ect, ect. its for the electronic performance.
you will get better responses if you post up in the right areas.

As lilpooh said, it is a hole between grille and airbox.

1. Open Hood

2. Remove Grille (There are 4 Phillips Head Screws on Top and 4 Tabs that need to be lifted on the bottom). The Grille then come right off.

3. The upper right hand corner (Driver's Side) below the radiator support beam is a plastic piece that is at an approx. 30-45 degree angle.

4. Using a dremel tool, cut out an area (size you feel appropriate) in front of the air box so that the air is flowing directly into the airbox.

they do, but a hole saw on a drill will get the job done even faster...
iirc i used a 2" hole saw...cutting TWO holes, one on top of the other
in a "figure 8" scenario...then i just trimmed the portion in between the
two holes...makes for a nice finished oval.
