Fuel pump??

which fuel line do i put an added fuel pump on ?? i see three lines under the driver door???

there is one suction line (behind the pump) that is the one you want the pusher on. then there is the motor supply line comming out of the pump then there is the return line from the motor.

what is the best way to identify that line??

If you lay down under your truck and look up at the HFCM, the tank to pump feed line is the one on the lower left corner of the manifold attached to the HFCM.. The lower right line is the pump to engine line.

The upper right is the engine to pump return line and the upper left is the pump to tank return line..

On a related note, I took an HFCM apart the other day and looked it over.. I found a flapper style check valve in it that to me looks like a pretty bad restriction. Where it is, the pump would basically have to suck it open. I wondering if the pump is having to work harder than it needs to because of that valve. I am also wondering what would happen if that was removed and a higher flowing, ball type check valve were placed in the feed line instead...
