smoke switch?

I see all these videos on youtube of guys with 6.0l that have smoke switches and them blowin smoke like they have injectors in em but don't. What does this switch hook into to make it do that? I also imagine that u cant do it to a 7.3

2011 Silverado 3500 HD Duramax/Allison Stock for now lol

the 7.3 is a whole different animal. no VGT so it wont work the same. a smoke tune can be written i think.

I know it dont matter now due to your being a 7.3 but to 6.0 owner it does not matter which wire you run through a switch it just needs to disable the solinoid, which in turn prevents the veins in the turbo from working so you build no boost.
