A few SCT questions

I bought the holiday special SCT and have a few questions. The SCT tech man said when changing tunes...let's say changing from one custom tune to another, or changing from a custom to a strategy tune, I need to always go back to stock between each one. Is that right? It takes a really long time to switch back and forth.

Also, I noticed after installing the tuner, on the Wicked tune, when I start it on a cold morning, it acts totally different. It doesn't have the typical clatter. It's actually quieter. Now when it idles cold, it has steady blue smoke from the exhaust. It never did this before. Anyone have this same issue?

I have to take it in to the dealer Monday to have a cylinder contribution test done for another issue. I know I need to return it to stock before I go. They told me I needed to reflash while I'm there. Will the same tunes go back in, or will I have trouble?

Thanks

you could possibly and most likely get a new strategy. There is a way around this by implementing a dump file to keep your old strategy. If you are under warranty I would swith over a few days in advance to try to get rid of the p100 code. If not I would just make sure I'm stock when I go in to keep from locking your tuner. As for switching tunes. I swap from what ever tune I'm using to the next. When I load anything on my tuner I do go to stock in case something goes wrong.

Just like lubbockguy, I switch between tunes without going back to stock...

The only time I go back to stock is if I am going to hook the tuner up to my laptop to load different tunes onto the tuner itself..

I read in other posts about a smoke switch on the turbo. Everyone said it would not work unless they had a SCT tuner. Will the switch mod work now that I have a SCT,or will I need a different tune?

From what I can tell, it came with 3 strategy tunes, and 6 custom tunes. A strategy tune is a canned tune, right?
