Need some info on codes

2004 Excursion, just put a bullydog pmt on and read the codes on the truck and wanted to see if anything to worry about..

Internal control module keep alive memory

FICM performance

Injector circuit low all 8 injectors

I know the circuit low codes is from the FICM. I guess the ficm might be going south? He said its still been starting up fine and its been plenty below freezing here so its not all the way bad or anything yet..

The first thing so suspect is a power or gound issue to the FICM as all the codes reported are voltage related.

The FICM is taking a dump. Time to either fix it or replace it...

well he isnt having any problems with cold start or miss so its not very weak... mine wouldnt start at less than 55 degrees without being plugged in when my ficm went out and a buddys truck was missing on 4 cyl when his went out... he is having zero running issues even when cold... i told him his ficm is probably getting weak but he has time to save up for one since its still running fine.. would all 3 codes be related to ficm or is the internal memory something else...?

My buddy's '05 was the same way Darin. I had to keep deleting the CEL everytime he drove it cause it would always throw a CEL for all 8 injectors and the FICM. His truck would start and drive fine also. Took it to ford to replace the FICM under warrenty and no more CEL's for the injectors. I'm betting that the FICM is starting to take a dump.

ya thats what i figured.... thanks chris! his is 04 with 120K tho so no warranty.. prolly gonna wait till has some physical symptoms or saves up money before replacing though.. what bout the internal memory code..?

also, what do they do when they rebuild them? is it just repairing the circuit board or they replace it?

Not sure about rebuilding. The only thing i know is that Swamps Diesel Performance in TN solders the joints and also solders in a resister. But as far as rebuilding them or the circuit board...haven't heard of anyone doing it. It's probably just best to get a new one once it takes a dump.
