Egr CEL on after EGR delete

I thought i had read this could be turned off by tuning. Is it possible to do this or do i need to plug in my egr valve to have it go away? currently getting 2 codes for the Egr, I am running the RCD delete kit.

if you unplug the valve it will throw a circuit code, im not sure if that can be tuned out i like the gillette diesel kit because it keeps the valve there instead of having to lay it off to the side plugged in

you can do the same thing w/ the RCD kit... you dont have to just lay it there you can put it back where it belongs.

you will need a custom tune and it depends on who writes it. some times the files get corrupted when sending over the internet from what im told.

So with this kit, if you don't have a SCT custom tune that turns off the EGR, will it still throw a CEL?

Only the 04.5 and up trucks will throw a CEL for EGR if the egr valve is unplugged. My truck is an early '04 and before i got my SCT i had my egr valve unplugged and it never threw a CEL for it.

At least on my truck (05), without a custom tune my boost is limited to 19 to 20lb with the EGR system deleted and no valve plugged in.

05 F350 CC SB Lariat, Silverline exhaust, SCT tuned by Spartan,Inaccurate QZ Commander, deleted EGR, coolant filter, blown headgaskets
