I'm running the Street Firm. Hadn't heard about it before, but this is one tune I got. It is quite a bit below the Extreme Street, but wow, what a nice tune. It's all that I need. The truck is stock, but does now have an exhaust system and the egr blocked off. As Eric about the above.

2007 Ford F350 FX4 Crew Cab long Bed, SCT X3, Innovative Tunes by Eric with Edge Insight and EGT. Magnaflow 4" Turbo back. EGR Cooler blocked off. RCD 2.5 Leveling lift kit, 35/12.5/18" Toyo MT. ARP Studs

like ive told you many times, leave the programming alone until you have the money to do studs. stock programming is enough to lift heads, come look at the truck we have in the shop right now, bone stock, coolant bottle is blown up to the size of a balloon.

Can you then please tell me how many NON studded trucks are running out there for X amount of miles without any problems?

Sure, we'd all like to do the studs, but $$$$ don't allow us to. Can I run a tune and my set up for the next 100,000 miles without a problem. Sure. Can it blow tomorrow. Maybe?

you can always run a moderate tune, instead of a race file. Less chance of causing HG problems, but not gauranteed. As mentioned, stock trucks have HG problems too.

MRBP 4" TB Exhaust No Cat
AFE Intake
ARP studs / Black HG's
RCD EGR Delete

its a gamble and when you dont have the funds to afford studs its not worth the risk. stock programming is enough to lift heads. six-o is a good friend of mine i wont recommend anything to him that could potentially break his truck.

If you run the "canned" tunes from SCT you should last a lot longer. I had a friend that ran the canned tow tune and never had a problem for almost 70,000 miles. Then he traded the truck in for a new one. If you do custom tunes, be prepared to do the studs at some time. When will depend on how you drive and if you tow. There are a lot of different factors that cause lifting your heads. My truck did it stock so i said screw it and put a tuner on it. Figured if it did it stock, i might as well have some fun till it does it again.
