theres a TON of **** thats different...the oil filter is under the truck
the fuel filter changes are a pain, the rear ends are not the same, the
fronts ends arent the same either !

are you talking 4x4 or 2x4 ?

depending on the year i thought it was "lack of intercooler" related.

OK here is horse power for 2006 6.0 motors
The truck is 325hp 570ft and the Van is 235hp and 440ft that is a big difference and both are intercooled 6.0 and a tuner that is set for 80hp
gain So will it bump me up to 405 like it would in the truck or just bump hp to
315? what is still not what the truck has stock I don't get it!

There are tuners / chips programmers out there that will boots the HP and Torque to the stock truck spec's and beyond, since everything is *basically* the same.
But heat is the problem in the van, take a look at your radiators and intercoolers and complete lack of room, then compare it to the equiv Trucks.
I have heard that you can even flash the van with the identical truck tunes, but not sure how true that is.
My 06 is still under warranty and heat is my concern, that and any engine problems mean a body off job on the van. So I have been reluctant to do anything, plus power seems more than adequate for my use.

But if you go this route, you need to phone up and talk to the tuners as none list much for the van on the web.

Innovative posted in a forum saying that the intake on the vans is very restrictive. With a tuner, straight pipe and tuning the vans should be faster than the trucks. The vans are lighter.

If the head gasket blows you have to lift the body to work on it?
My 06 has 60000mi. on it and ford won't touch it
I have a friend who is a ford dealer mechanic and ran the VIN# and nothing is covered and he tells me that all 6.0 motors are gasket blowers and just to be safe bring the HP up to what the F series trucks have and know more and that's 325hp
He said that you cannot flash the van with truck software
I would have to have a custom one done.
