What kind of mileage are you getting in your DRW?

I just got a DRW 05 F350 6L 4x4, it has some problems Im working through, but I like the truck. It seems to get horrible fuel mileage. I used to drive a 99 F250 7.3 PSD 2wd and got around 20mpg. I expected this truck to be a little worse, but not as bad as Im seeing. I haven't figured exact mileage yet, but it can't be good. What kind of mileage should I expect from a stock truck? And, what have you guys done to make yours better?

I have the truck in my sig. 03 CC LB 4x4 4" exhaust SCT 4:10 gears all stock for the rest. I have gotten as good as 19.2 going really easy on it. daily driving avarage 16-17mpg. Towing 7,500 12.3, Towing 22,000 9.5mpg, Towing 22k into a 30mph head wind 3.6mpg I normally run the truck on my x-street tune and tow on aggressive tow. Those number were also on winter blend fuel but but even last fall before blend it was pretty close. What gear do you have I don't know the year it was offered but some duallys had a 4:30 gear for the "TOW BOSS" trucks.

Its got 4.10s in it. Are all these trucks made with open rears in them? I think mine may be open, but the tag numbers read differently than Im used to. If I was looking at a 8.8 it used to say 3L55 and you knew you had a limited slip, but on my truck it says 4.10. ? Yeah, deleting everything was definetly on my list! I figured on cutting out the DOC and holding on to it in case somebody gave me crap about it and running a straight pipe where it was till I could afford after market exhaust. Im sure thats worth something. I have also heard that the DOC gets fouled in diesel applications fairly quick, so it would go to reason.... I used to have a 7.3PSD, so Im not used to all this.

15-18 mpg at 70 MPH depending on head/tail wind, up or down hill, and whether the little woman is driving, then it is for sure 15 mpg. Around town its 12-14 mpg.

When I had the stock injectors, my empty highway mileage averaged 18 (65mph), and city mileage was a tic over 15... If I could get in behind a tractor trailer, my highway mileage could go as high as 20....

Don't have any solid numbers yet for what it is with the new (bigger) injectors...
