Question XCal2 Unresponsive

With the weather warming up today I decided to change from my Street Tune to my Xtreme Street Tune. When I plugged the XCal2 in there was no response. I checked my Cigarette Lighter and it is working and the Fuse looks fine. I tried plugging it in to my girlfriends Explorer and there was nothing. I tried using the USB and there is nothing. I tried to install LiveLoad, recent pc work removed it, and couldn't as the XCal2 wouldn't energize to trigger the pc. I opened the case on the unit and everything is in tact. There doesn't appear to be any loose solder joints or broken wires. I know I can have the truck reflashed, but I hate to have to buy another XCal. Has anyone had this happen? I am going to call SCT Monday, but figured I would check with others here.

Yeah, I finally got LiveLoad installed and I get Error 161 - Loopback Error. I guess I will have to call SCT Monday.

try cleaning the contacts maybe

If it would energize via the USB I would suspect the OBD-II Connector, however it don't energize with the truck or pc so it is something in the unit itself. I hope they can fix it for a decent price or I will just find another unit. Chris

Yeah, it's toast. Keep us posted on what SCT tells you. I sure hope they don't try to make you buy a new one. But then again, 'bout time you upgrade to an X3!!

Ha. I just got done working with SCT. I am sending it in for repairs. I will have to have Ford reflash my truck before I can retune. Oh well, at least I have my Street Tune in for now. Chris

someone showed me a trick..might not be your issue but try smacking the bottom on your hand a couple times and retry,theres a memory card inside em that comes loose if its knocked around.
