Go with SCT and pick a tuner gogo, innovative, vivian, etc. etc.

It's a coin toss. Spartan use to be a SCT dealer with custom tunes, so I'm sure they know what they are doing. But on the other hand, If you go with SCT, You will have the option to get many more custom tunes from other shops. So basicly if you go with spartan you will only be able to get tunes from them. Where as if you go with sct, you have a choice of at least 5+ dealers that you can get tunes from.

like said, if you go spartan and dont like their tunes ur stuck with it, atleast with the SCT you can try different vendors, everyone is good, some trucks run better with one persons tunes another may run better with a different persons, its trial and error. i recommend innovative or vivian/quick tricks

I bought my SCT from Innovative and never got anything to work with my truck. Several programs later I just gave up and ran it stock. Did not drive it to much back over 2 years ago. Was checking in a forum and saw some of the Archived 6.0 Spartan tunes and downloaded them. Loaded in my SCT ex2 and they where all awesome. Stuck with the Max Economy, liked how it drove as daily driver, very Granny like moving around town. But when I put the petal to the floor, It was a monster.

I would definitely pick the sct, then you have free range of custom tunes. I have run spartan tunes with my sct a couple times. They work good but not the best. I haven't had very good luck with innovatives tunes either. All i use now is the looney(soon to be another name). Vivian knows her tunes.

'04 CC SB F250. '03build 6.0L, Torqshift , 2" leveling kit(add a leafs),factory down pipe to 5" straight pipe, Autometer Z pyro and boost, ARP studs, Black Onyx gaskets, RCD egr delete, Sinister regulated return, SCT Xcal 2 tuned by Vivian. 157,000 as of May2010

'85 F250. 6.9 idi. 4spd. 276,000 mile daily driver, ugly as (gone now, but never forgotten)
