SCT flash

I got a SCT X3 3000 from INNOVATIVE for my VAN i got 3 tunes
1st one a just a economy no power (wrong it hauls *** and mileage not good) i would say 80hp more
2nd is for tow, what really hauls *** and shifts hard and this one about 120hp more
3rd tune is street, now that one will smoke both wheels threw 3 gears without
doing a brake stand and this one i don't know how much hp 200hp? but it has been awhile since my knees were shaking

did i get a tune for a VAN or a TRUCK i think truck is what ever tunes + 80hp
I raced a truck with 6.0 on econo tune and flat out kick his but bad

Things i say up here

If your three tunes are custom ones you should have had to give innovative your engine strategy codes and when they build the tunes they are made specific for your vehicle. I recently got custom tunes from Eric and I didn't bother with an economy tune. If I drive normal with my extreme street tune on I am getting around 21-22mpg and tons of power

I would be careful with your bigger street tunes without studs and I'm guessing no egr delete. I would only work it hard for short periods or the high egts and cylinder pressures will blow out head gaskets easy. And the added fuel creating lots of smoke will plug off egr cooler causing heat flashing in coolant and pressuring up cooling system also blowing out head gaskets. If you check out mkmcustoms.com they have arp stud kits and egr kits for very reasonable prices. Have fun

The EGR is turned off if that helps
I have a SCT Dashscan with probe coming so i know what the egts are
and doing studs is pulling engine out If it happends i quess that is what i got to do

I got the DashScan and the EGT senser and plug just broke off in the monitor
never even installed it can't use it What a P.O.S. plug i would not stay in? it has release buttons on the plug but you don't need them the wire just falls out
So what ever i will ziptie the wire to the big wire to keep it from falling out
and then i look in were the socket is and it is not in there? It's on the plug now

If I remember correctly the vans are only rated at 235hp, and trucks were 325hp. So in theory, a 40hp tune based on truck tuning would be 130hp in a van. A 120hp file from a truck would be 210hp in a van. IIRC, the lower rating on the vans was due to a lack of an intercooler. I could be totally wrong on the intercooler and base power level, but I know vans are rated at a lower power level to begin with.

The Current Truck (Oct-2013 to Present):
1999 (Early) F-350 Lariat, CCLB, SRW, Black/Tan

7.3L Powerstroke, 4R100, 4x4, 3.73, 37x13.50-18s, '05 Axle Swap, 6" Fabtech lift, GTP38 "D66" turbo upgrade, SCT 4-position chip with custom tuning by me, Straight Piped 4" down pipe through 5" dual stacks, N-Fab full length triple steps, Pro-Tech cab guard and tool box, louvered 5th wheel gate, Hella 500 Fog and Driving lamps, much more to come...
The one I'll miss, (Mar-2009 to Jan-2014):
2000 Excursion XLT 4x4

6.8L V-10, 4R100, 4.30, 285/75-18, 271whp / 388wtq
The one I won't, (Jul-2005 to Sep-2012):
2005 F-350 XLT, CCLB, SRW, 4x4 FX4

6.0L PSD, ZF-6S650, 3.73, 35x12.5-18, 4.5" Lift

I asked innovative what HP did they give me 3 tunes economy what is no power just better MPG Tow 310wrhp and street 375wrhp

But every time i change it back and forth to see what HP changes
and i go back to street but it is not the same Now power comes on higher up in the rpms and trany does not shift as hard like stock is
The day i first put the tune in i chirped the tires in two gears not now

something is up with tuning do i have to put it back to stock first then
chose a different tune
I put it on econo and it still hauled butt so i put it back to street no change
so i put it back to stock till i got the Dashscan what broke before i even
went out side to install it P.O.S. plug
It's been a week and no word from SCT so i guess i toss it in the garbage

When you first install the program, you have to drive it for about 50 miles or so before it will completely learn. Once learning is done, the power and shifting will settle in.

SCT will send you a replacement part. If you have trouble getting through, contact them through the live chat at the bottom of this page: http://www.sctflash.com/contact.php
