new to me 2000 f350

ok im replacing my 99 250 with a 2000 350 with 67000 miles, im looking at new 4" exhausts, summit has a couple at a fair price. is there something i should be looking for? i calleda few exhaust places around here and noone can give me a price on building me a exhaust, the going rate to install my exhaust is 100 bucks. unless someone knows of someone in the downriver area of michigan?
aslo im gonna put a air intake on it any suggestions for this???
i havea bullydog flip chip im gonna install once i make sure it is compatable with the 2000, if not im sending back for a tune up.

thanks

It's not too bad to change out that turbo back exhaust. It took me about two hours.

2000 F250 Supercab 2wd, 6spd, DP Tuner, Southbend conFE, MBRP 4" turbo back straight pipe. DIY intake.

As was mentioned...the exhaust isn't that hard to install. A nice afternoon task.

Personally...I would ditch that flip-chip and go with a custom burnt chip built for the code of truck.

As for an intake...lots of possibilities. You could go with a Tymar/DIY intake...which filters great and is the cheapest of the bunch. I have an aFe and like it. S&B also has a good system. Avoid k&n...especially their flat panel filters.

thier fipk kits are fine. there no worse or better than any of the oil filters.. the "stock" style k+n's arent made well and do not fit the box correctly.. as far as the chip, is the old truck an auto or std and the new truck? if they are both the same the chip will work in either truck. the exhausts there not that much too them, the biggest thing about them is wether they fit well and if the hangers are in the correct spots as to not cause any issues during instalation. i have a magnaflow exhaust and it was made with some very good quality. if you have a shop do it for you make sure that they bend over mandrel and not any other way.

The exhaust is easy to do, but $100 isn't bad if you don't have the tools/time.

There are a lot of options out there you just have to read up, do some research and see what's in your budget.

Congrats on the new truck!

check with the TDG Vendors and see if what they offer.

You probably want boost, EGT & transmission temps as a minimum.
