Warning light thresholds...

Tell me where you would like to see a "warning" light on a gauge set up...

Pyro...
Boost...
Tranny temp...
Oil temp...
Water temp...
Fuel pressure...
Oil pressure...
Exhaust back pressure...
Diff temp...
Volt reading...

Let me know what you think... got something coming I think...

One question...would these values vary depending on the motor. For example...does the max EGT differ on the 6.6L versus the 5.9L versus the 6.0L versus the 7.3L versus...

or fuel pressure

or boost

Would these "warning lights" be adjustable per the user...or pre-set from the factory?

early 99 PSD CC F250, DP Tuner F-5, Stealth Stage I, Casserly 160cc singles, Monsterbox Tranny, MBRP cool duals, ITP Regulated fuel system, Cobalts and Performax gauges, and way to much else to remember right now. **traded**

2004 Excursion Limited 6.0L, Dipricol gauges on the A-Pillar, Bilsteins and BFG's on the corners, lost EGR (not looking hard for it either), ARP studs, RCD Black Onyx head gaskets, MBRP 4" exhaust, (labor performed by Dan @ Midwest Transmission) **giggled when traded**

i think every one of those except for boost. weather its a low/ high pressure alarm or high temp

2000 f350 7.3 ext cab 6speed- 4inch dp, 5inch straight pipe, ts 6 pos chip. stock 140 100 75 50 high idle, zoodad, fpr shimmed, 6637 intake, 5inch lift, foil delete, beans idm, stage one injectors....r.i.p was fun when it lasted

Looking more for a temp range that you guys think one should be triggered...

oil temp- 215*
Water temp- 215*

so on and so forth...

Like you need any more lights, dingers, buzzers, alarms and so forth.

Boost... 25* (with stock turbo)

Tranny temp... auto 230*( w/ probe in the hot cooler line coming out of tranny) 200* ( w/ probe in the tranny pan) manual ZF5 250-260* (they run HOT) ZF6 220*

Oil temp... 250* I had a CAT 3406 that ran 230-245*oil temp

Water temp... 215* (w/ probe in the thermostat housing) the stock gauge jumps up @ 225*. 240* running Evens Coolant

Fuel pressure... less than 30psi

Oil pressure... Less then 10psi

Exhaust back pressure... 20 psi less than what the valve springs can handle.

Diff temp... 250*

Volt reading... <12.25 and >14.6

how about the
cylinder head temp?
Tire monitoring system?
Air filter vacuum?
Front diff (for the Dodge and GM with no lock out hubs) 160* in 2wd 250* in 4wd
Transfer case 250*
