Higher EGT's and water Temp

Hey guys I know its been awhile since i been on the garage but I have been super busy building my house and all the usuall stuff.... ok.... I have been experiencing higher EGT's even after cleaning the the air filter and the water temperature has been higher than normal also....the engine has 270,000 on it and just got back a oil sample anylasis that said lead content was high....I have been pulling a trailer all summer so that may have something to do with that.....any help would be great....

how many ppm of lead? under 14ppm isnt anything to worry about,or so im told,but it could be a bearing going.it could be a lead smear from a bearing having some crud getting in there, it will get along for awhile with scored bearings. thats just my two cents hope its of some use.
as for temp issues, is it hotter than normal outside, i know its been way hotter than normal this year in sw ohio and my egts, trans temp and water temp have all been going up.

99.5 F-250 7.3 4X4 reg cab.

yes it is higher than 14, I will do another sample and check again.....as for temperatures yes it has been hot but it started before that.

What thermostat do you have installed? I was running the 203* stat that Riley sells, but noticed that my fan was constantly kicking on/off during the summer towing season. I dropped back down to a stock 195* stat...and it has made a huge difference in the fan operation as well as my coolant temps.

Also...when was the last time your stat was changed? Perhaps its getting sticky and not opening all the way when it should.

Sounds like a turbo issue to me, but the copper levels would be high as well.

I think you may be correct on the stat....I'm gonna change it and see what happens......also on the turbo it was rebuilt by HTT about 3 years ago....... do you think I could have a cracked injector nozzel?
