7.3 hard to start when cold

In cold weather, my 7.3 is hard to start if not plugged in. It used to start easily down to 25deg or so. Could it be the glow plugs?

Glow plugs are a possiblity. So is the GPR. You may actually want to check the GPR first, since it is not that hard to test.

I would have to agree that its either the glowplugs or the glow plug relay.

Cheap parts... Not cheap for labor if you cant do it your self. Its simple to do other then Getting the valve covers where you can get them out with the fire wall.

Look FIRST at the GPR and LAST at the GPs themselves, it is exceedingly rare for OEM GPs to fail.
