Assuming you know where the Hpop Res is,
Standing at the front of the motor, its on the drivers side in front of that down below the Hpop. There is a wire going to it.

You can see it if you crawl up on the motor and look between the Fuel bowl and the Hpop on the drivers side.

gotcha! i must be blind. truck has been running rough on s/u, and pumping black smoke. i cleaned the plug with contact cleaner, also noticed that the recepticle on the ipr was kinda loose. but when i started it up it ran good and smoke was not as bad. however it still smokes blue smoke for about a mile until the engine is warm. any ideas? somebody?

If the smoke goes away after a mile or so, it most likely is unburnt fuel in the cylinders. When the temperature gets warm enough for a complete burn, the smoke goes away.

Clean the EGR tube and the EGR sensor.

lets see 96, it should be up in front of the Hpop res.
Unplug it, andpull the sensor out.
use something like weed trimmer string to clean the tube out.

No EGR equipment on a 7.3L PSD to clean or break, so he won't find it.
