question about 7.3 up pipes

My up pipes are leaking the question I have is how much do they effect power.
And can they also affect the way it shifts? As in, staying in the lower gears longer.
(shifting at higher RPMs)
The computer looks at the map and exhaust pressure to determine when to shift and they will be off if boost is off as well.

My EBP under hard acceleration is 42.93 lbs
My MAP under hard acceleration is 31.03 lbs

Both seem low until 2000 RPMs and then it pulls hard just low power @ lower RPMs

I could barely make 10psi with leaky uppipes (229,000 miles). Changed them to bellowed and now get 23 or so unloaded uphill.

Changing the boots this weekend and we'll see how it goes.

I've got a Stick, so no help on the tranny.

I am new, but isn;t MAP and boost similar?

They are, I work on gassers 90% of the time, and it was also listed as map on my scanner so I just didnít think anything about it
My bad
Thanks for the info that seams to be the way mine is running.
How did yours run at higher rpms with the leaks ?

Mine did not make much boost at top end. 10-12 MAX. My exhaust temps would get to 1200 really, really quick.

I would guess if you are getting high boost on hard accel, you are looking at something different than mine.

What is the EBP at other speeds/idle?
