7.3L 2002 f30

So i ran across a 7.3L 2002 f350 extended cab reg bed on CL for $11,500. Its all stock no mods at all with 157k miles on it. Seems like a decent deal to me, what do you all think. One more thing from what i hear the 7.3 mods well correct? Thanks alot for any info.

the 7.3 is expensive to make go fast, but relatively inexpensive to make more powerful, if that makes sense. 157kmi= just past "Break in" In most cases, and entering the "Nickel and dime" Phase, where "consumable" Parts start needing to be replaced. ASK FOR MAINTENANCE DOCUMENTATION AND FIND OUT HOW/IF SAID TRUCK WAS BABIED OR USED AS A WORKHORSE TRUCK! Its highly important to find out how said truck has been treated. Get a carfax/oasis report if you can, before you buy either check it with a fine tooth comb yourself or have someone who knows these trucks do it. Above all, try to negotiate a few hundred off that price! Odds are youll end up with a nice truck that will just.... Run.

"MOby" The big white bio-burning 03 7.3 4x4. 6637, straight piped stock exhaust, and a new "secret" blend of Haul asBLEEPsing mods and upgrades. Suffice to say, its still not the fastest, but its quick enough to worry lots!

I dont trust anyone that says its never been modded with plug in programmers its easy to lie about it. I'd check under hood and look for the signs of an pyrometer having been installed either in manifold or a clamp on, the boost press hose shows a cut off or a splice, what exhaust is on it, stock or a 4". I looked at a truck and bought it for that matter that owner said had never been chipped but you could see the signs of all the gauges haveing been there. I didnt buy the story and I showed him what I was talking about.I wasn't sure if he was lieing to me or if he got lied to when he bought the truck but he has some education now.

"I use baby wipes.....

Because if you think that a wadded up piece of paper is actually getting the chit off of your butt.....then I have to ask a question....

.....if you wiped a turd on your arm....would you just use a paper towel to get the turd off?.....or would you wash your arm?...

...let that thought roll around in your head for a moment...

" thank you tank for that insightful thought

Thanks guys for the replys. I havnt gone and looked at the truck yet cause he said that he wanted to wait till next week to get rid of it so i will go then. The problem is he doesnt know the guy who ownend it or anything. He works at a dealership and the truck came in and he baught it from them and is selling it on his own so i dont know how much if anything he knows about it. In the pics i can see the driver side extanded cab door has a big area where the color is a lil different and he said there was a lil paint on the seats. I guess i will just have to give it a good lookover before i decide to buy it or just wait for another vehicle to come around. I still have 2 weeks before i need one.
