Looking for Safe 60HP

I'm looking for a safe 60 horse power adder to aid in towing on one of my work rigs.

It's a early 99, 350, 6 speed 4x4 flat bed.

I'm looking for a plug in and go, safe tuner.

I do not want to install anything on the computer, I do not like the idea of scratching off the coating down to the copper and putting a chip on.

More interested in plugging into the port and going from there.

Are Edge products any good? I hear BD are over priced...

Suggestions appreciated.

It seems like a TS chip with beans, swamps, or wildman tunes are your best bet. The coating you're removing is strictly for an external interface, on the back side of the ECU, you're not messing with the board internally. In other words if you screw it up, you're not dead in the water completely.

Generic programmers such as the ones you mentioned are more dangerous than removing the silicone from the PCM.

They put out a "one size fits all" tune that does nothing to control the transmission. When you add power to the engine and do not tune the transmission for that extra power, you will end up cooking your transmission fast.

Custom tuning is the most safe, efficient way to get more power.

flash tuners are the easiest to install. such as superchips, edge, bullydog, hypertech. but plug in chips that plug into the pcm offer the best programming. underhood plug and play modules often just modify the icp sensor signals making the computer think it is low on icp pressure and it increases ipr % to make up for it, if you were going to use one of these you just as well do a 50 cent 10k mod. i have some used and new chips cheap if interested PM me
