Best place to get a replacement radiator support?

Pulled the front clip off the 97` found the support to be cracked up worse that repairable condition. Is this a ford only part and what do you folks think one of those run?

You know you are doing something right when the Ford dealers call you for parts.

that's a standard body piece. you can either pick up one from the dealer which without checking I'll hazard a guess that it'll run you around 500 if it's still avialable. Ford will stock replacement parts for 10 years at least or until they run out of excess.

Your other two sources are salvage yards or aftermarket. The core for a diesel is different from the core for a gas motor so keep that in mind when visiting the salvage yards.

As far as aftermarket I've picked up some other parts from www.uniqueauto.com but they are a local company.

Most body shops will prefer OE or refurb OE (junkyard) over aftermarket because of the fit issues that frequently are associated with aftermarket in that holes may be off by a little bit or something of that nature making body lines hard to keep correct.

For salvage parts check www.car-part.com. It'll give you an idea of what used ones are going for and some places that have them but realize that not all junkards are listed there, only those that pay a fee.
