Not sure how much they are, but I'm pretty certain Diesel Innovations sells them.

Project 1:'04, Supercab, auto, 4x4; help from Nate at Performance Truck Products, Empire Diesel, Diesel Innovations , FirstCoastDieselPerformance, and ITP Diesel; nicknamed top-secret for now, stock injectors, stock turbo = 13.34 in the 1/4 with the zoo-dad mod 12.51 with da juice

Project 2: '86 Toyota regular cab, motor by Diesel Innovations (713/984-9441); nick-named the Fordota

Project 3: '68 Ford Ranger, regular cab, short bed, 2wd; inserting a 6.0 with engine work done by Logan Schneider, nick-named UglyTrk

Curt,

I didn't think there was a difference in the oil...the only difference I am aware of is the number of pleats on the PG-7 vs. the standard AFE blue. The AFE oil from DI has a slightly yellowish tint to it.

am I wrong?

There is NO difference in the oils other then colors, Look at the FAQ on AFEs web site.

Muddin,

Hope you meant the gold oil for the Pro Guard 7 as the blue filters and blure oil is for the standard 4 layer filter not PG7!!! Just wanted you to know so you knew what systems you had, there are so many sellers out there selling blue as PG7 you would not believe it. I wonder if they are doing it out of ignorance or to dupe customers as they cost less to the seller or what???
Either way if you need one we have both systems and re charge kits here at DPPI.

Well, I bought a blue oil kit from Diesel Innovations in Houston. They said there is no difference other than color.

Mark, what exactly are the differences between the gold and blue oil?? I dont know what to think about it anymore. Seems like 50% say no difference, 50% say big difference.

Here's the FAQ from AFE

Muddin

"What are the differences in the aFe oil colors? "

"aFe uses different oil colors to distinquish our different lines of filter products. Gold oil is used on our high performance OE replacement filters together with red urethane. Blue oil is used on our cold air intake systems together with black urethane. We offer red oil as another option because people want this additional choice. Other than the color, there is no difference in the oil. "
