I don't know about the backup lights but I had problems with my cruise also. At first it would work for a while then stop and then it quit all together. It ended up being the brake switch on the front of the brake master cylinder. I removed the switch and it was full of brake fluid. It is a 5 minute repair and it fixed my problem.

Mine did the same thing and it wound up being the plugs on the back side of the horn/cruise pad where the two wires attach. Cleaned things up and reconnected, been fine since (a couple months so far).

Yea, mine is all over the place. Sometimes it works flawless, sometimes it dies randomly. I drove to Colorado and it did it maybe 4 times. Kinda irritating. The most it has ever stopped working at one time was after I installed my intake, it didnt work for about two months, then it went away. Not sure why, maybe i bumped something.

I found out what it was it was one of the 15amp fuse in the fuse panel under the hood. I replaced it and the reverse lamps started working and the cruise.

Thank all yall for the help,
Chris R.

Mine is not working either. It quit for a while and then I reset the computer and it started working again. Now it quit and it does not fix it to reset the PCM. What do yall think? I was told there are some wires in the steering wheel that can break if you turn the wheel too far.
