Red-Head steering gear box

I replaced my steering gear box a while ago. Then it started to get real hard to turn right. Turning left was a piece of cake. I stuck a Red-Head steering gear box in and I never realized how much play the old gear box had. The red-head gear box feels like 0 play. So much so that my steering wheel is no longer centered. I like the new feel. I'll get an alignment after I get new tires.

2000 F250 Supercab 2wd, 6spd, DP Tuner, Southbend conFE, MBRP 4" turbo back straight pipe. DIY intake.

Red Head Steering Gear

I had the same experiences as you described, before & after.

I too got a new Gear from Red Head. Awesome company, they were very friendly and helpful. And I got my gear fairly quickly, 3 days I think?

And now, I no longer have a wobbly truck, drives straight down the road. I also changed my pittman arm along with the other steering and alignment hardware. Just as you, alignment coming up around the corner - but no need for new tires yet. I might go and have them checked & rebalanced if necessary.

Have a great experience with your repaired truck - - Enjoy!
