Question powerstroke swap

I have a 90 international straight truck with a 7.3 IDI, I also have a wrecked 03 superduty with a 7.3 PSD. the superduty is an automatic trans and the the international has a spicer 5 speed. I am looking to put the PSD into the international. I am looking for info on what all needs to be swapped out or exchanged to make this combination work. If more info is needed to answer the question just let me know.

Thanks in Advance,
Bone

Well, mainly the engine wireing harness and the PCM. If your going to try and use the spicer 5 speed, there are different bellhousings that International uses for bigger transmissions. Youll need a fuel system of some sort and the aftercooler. Also youd need a different PCM for a manny tranny if you go that route.

Not sure if this fellas a member on this board but "78stroker" over on TDS has swapped a PSD into a old Ford--78 model to be exact. Its not terribly complicated just ime consuming.

Is it 4x4, and if so what are you gonna do with the front end?:

well i am in the process of checking bellhousings right now, and its just a 2 wheel drive so no problem there.

Thanks,

the international shoudl use a bellhousing that bolts directly to the block where in the ford application there is an adapter plate used.

Otherwise it's a matter of the computer, you can shortcut the new computer by getting yours reflashed @ the dealer or quite possibly a 4-page chip with manual tranny programs would take care of the problem.

Aftercooler/intercooler/charge air cooler all the same but you should be able to get the cooler from a newer truck that came with one that will more than likely bolt in place. The tubes from International should get you into the ballpark or you can run without a cooler like the old PSD's did
