How many is too many?

Coming home from NYC yesterday I saw THIS truck out for sale. I have been waiting to buy a diesel for a long time, and have had my mind set on a Dodge(Cummins) for a while now, but this truck really caught my eye. The truck is super clean inside and out, but the mileage seems kinda high. I know it depends on how it was treated by the last owner, but should I worry about buying a truck with this many miles? I was going to call the guy today, but I'm sort of haveing doubt's because of the mileage.

Just get it checked out real good. Find out why it has that many miles.....and trust your instinct. If something smells fishy, walk away.

For the mileage it looks very clean. I can see why you stopped.

I calculated out the mileage againest it's age. It's only 20K a year. That's what I drive just commuting to work every day. I think that mileage is reasonable.

But as said before, just have it check out by a reputable mechanic. Talk to the owner and get all the info he knows about the truck. You can tell when someone is holding something back most of the time. If he's being to vauge, walk away.

The mileage does not seem unreasonable for a seven year old truck.
Give it a good look over, run an oaisis, and hope for the best

As the others have said, that many miles is not unreasonable for a '99. Personally, I wouldn't be so concerned about amount of miles as TYPE of miles. Typically high-mileage vehicles are the result of highway miles which are way easier on a vehicle than city/offroad miles. Just looking at the pic I would guess this was a highway vehicle. As already stated, do a little homework and if you like it, go for it! The price seems about right.
