Just droping a line to let yall all know I just got a smokin deal on a 97 F250 PWD Extended cab. The truck was only an XL, and a little ruff around the edges but only 206k and running, and driving stong, 3200 was a steal.

Now I am in pursuit in more power. I have a set of stacks on order and am looking for a good intake, homemade would be good or a purchased one, if yall know of any. Pluse was wanting to know about power adders, i have been searching around and it seems only thing that people carry now is for 99 or newer. I guess they forgot about us guys.

Also anythng else that I can do to tinker with it to get more from it and or anything i didnt mention that is a "given" to do the powerstrokes. I dont know much about them, i will have to say i am dodge guys so I originally had a cummins lined up, but i couldnt pass this up, plus now I have some extra money to make it stronger.

Thanks in advance!

HPOP, high pressure oil pump, its what fires the injectors. LIPD sells one, but its for the SD, he might have it for the OBS (or they could be the same). Also SPDiesel has a kit as well. Both are VERY GOOD vendors!!!

The sight for Tymar is www.tymarperformance.com. This only gets you his number. I forget his name but I have dealt with him a couple years ago and he awesome. I still run his intake. It is solid system and probably one of the cheapest out there.

Good luck and congrats.

Ya i am cheap too! (read: Cheap!) The only thing i see with the tymar way is that is a paper filter. How often should it be changed? Every 5000? Seems a little expensive at $40 a pop for the filter. The other ones seem to be more expensive out to the gate but are reusable. That would only take a few miles to pay for itself. I think i may just buy a filter and and some piping and try to do my own. Maybe pick up some 22gauge stanless and bend me up a heat sheild.

I am now looking into a programer. Can i start to get some opinions on what yall think would be the best for the 97 powerstroke. I am looking for multiple settings, change on he fly and preferably be able to read/clear trouble codes and change speedo for tire size. I know that their are a few out, but maybe i can get a " dont use X Brand" from tried and true individuals.
